2009 Columbia Homecoming Festival
KIDS WATERMELON EATING CONTEST
Saturday, June 27, 2009
Register by 3:00 p.m. at Homecoming Registration Booth.
Contest starts at approximately 3:30 p.m. and to be held at the stage during the Battle of the Bands AWARDS: Championship Watermelon Eating Title & Trophy for each age division.
CONTEST RULES:
- Entry is FREE and is open to children 7-18 years old.
- Child must be register by 3:00 p.m.
- Participants must have their hands behind their back at all times.
- Each participant receives the same kind, and size watermelon.
- Winner will be declared after participant eats the entire piece of watermelon to the rind; no watermelon may be left in mouth.
- Contestants need to bring clean clothes and means to clean up.
- Three Divisions:
· [ ] 7-10
· [ ] 11-14
· [ ] 15-18
- ALL DECISIONS OF THE JUDGES ARE FINAL.
