COLUMBIA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Serving Eastern Lorain County

The Columbia Chamber of Commerce has a mission to support the growth of businesses, strengthen the local economy and industry within Columbia Township and surrounding areas located in Eastern Lorain County.  Over the past four years the Columbia Chamber of Commerce has given back to the community by creating this website, sponsoring the Columbia Homecoming Festival, published & distributed a community guide and provided scholarships to graduating seniors.

The Columbia Chamber was recently honored to carry on the legacy of the Columbia Kiwanis organization that disbanded in October of 2007.  The chamber will keep most of their projects going like the Columbia Antique Engine Show and Holiday Tree Lighting, and through their generous donation, the Chamber promised to keep their legacy alive through the creation of the Columbia Community Foundation and it's scholarship program.

The chamber provides a platform for businesses to come together to network, community involvement, provide guest speakers at general membership meetings that meet throughout the year, share ideas and offer support for your business just to name a few things.  By becoming a member of the Chamber, your business receives numerous discounts on services at the local level as well as the regional level.  The Chamber is a private organization, funded primarily by membership dues and community donations. The Columbia Chamber of Commerce is a member of the
Northeast Ohio Chamber of Commerce (NOACC), US Chamber of Commerce, Ohio Festivals & Events Association, Visit Lorain County, and the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Ohio (CCEO).

Funding:

The Chamber is a private organization funded primarily by dues paid by member businesses and community donations.  It is not a government agency and receives no tax dollars.  It is a registered 501(c)(6) non-profit organization.

Membership:

Membership is open to all businesses and individuals that maintain a voluntary annual dues investment.  The
benefits of membership include networking opportunities, community involvement, image enhancement, political advocacy, information access, numerous discounts and benefits and heightened credibility.
