Columbia Area Chamber of Commerce

Columbia Station, Ohio

Patty Rolko
Treasurer

Patty Rolko was born and raised in a close nit family in North Olmsted, Ohio.  She graduated from North Olmsted High School and attended Polaris Vocational School in their Accounting /Computer program.  After completing courses at Polaris she went on to earn her accounting certificate from Cuyahoga Community College.  She worked her way through college by working for her family’s Real Estate Company.  Patty then went on to work for the Hilton Hotel chain here in Cleveland and in South Carolina.  While she loved being in South Carolina, she found herself missing the hometown that she had been raised in.  It was then that she returned to the Northeast Ohio area and started an irrigation and directional boring company.  For twenty years she managed and co-owned that company and became one of the area’s first minority women business owners of a utility installation company, all the while keeping busy raising her three children.  While in Westlake, she served on various Westlake committees’ including the city’s Tree Commission and the Women’s Business Association.  She has campaigned for several area politicians and volunteered at Westlake City Schools for many years teaching computer skills.

In 2007, Patty became the co-owner and operator of Erie Coast Customs & Collision located on Rt. 82 in North Eaton. While still living in Westlake, she found herself falling in love with the town that she was commuting to everyday.  Patty has always been a civic-minded individual so it came as no surprise when she single handedly pushed to start Columbia Safety in August of 2007.  She went out on foot door to door organizing the community to encourage them to take a proactive role in their businesses’ safety.  She was instrumental in placing more Deputy Sheriff Patrols in our immediate area to combat the crime activity that was targeted on local businesses.

In 2008, Patty moved to Columbia Station with her fiancée and youngest son.

Most recently she has been the Treasurer of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce since June of 2008 and a volunteer for the various Chamber’s events.  Patty looks forward to many years of helping the community that she loves so much.
